Black window won't stay open - flashes for a micro-second then gone.

Hello all. I went through the FAQ and other posts and I do not see this posted anywhere. I installed QB64 on my home computer. The program appears to work, but when I RUN, all I get is a very quick black screen which disappears in a millisecond. Any idea as to what is happening? Thanks for any help at all.
